If you cannot attend the clinic due to your location, we can mail a hair collection kit to your GP.
We recommend hair collection kits be sent to registered health practitioners as we need to maintain the chain of evidence and require a reliable 3rd party to confirm identification. We do not recommend you request the kit to be mailed to home addresses or unregistered 3rd parties.
We understand that some may wish to test for personal reasons but unfortunately, this does not assure the lab the hair sample was obtained with legal consent. These measures are in place to protect people’s legal rights, otherwise, anyone could obtain hair or DNA samples and conduct testing without any knowledge or consent.
This kit contains information as to how to collect and send a hair sample. The kit does not cover costs of forensic hair testing. This means additional fees are required for forensic testing and reporting to proceed. To view the fees for forensic hair testing click here.
