Description
Can’t visit our Brunswick West clinic? Our remote collection service dispatches a hair collection kit to a qualified medical professional you nominate — typically your GP — who collects and returns the sample under proper chain of custody.
To preserve impartiality and protect court-admissibility, the nominated practitioner must have no personal relationship with the donor, and kits are sent only to verified clinical premises — never to residential addresses.
Why we still recommend in-person collection
Where possible, attending our clinic is faster, cheaper, and more reliable. You avoid the kit fee and your GP’s consultation fee, our trained collectors can answer questions on the spot, and you eliminate the shipping and handling delays that can affect remote samples.
Important: kit fee vs testing fee
The Collection Kit fee covers collection only. Laboratory testing for drugs, alcohol, or steroids is purchased separately, and analysis begins once the sample is received and testing fees are paid.
Important Considerations
- Strict process adherence. Test integrity depends on the collection protocol being followed exactly. Any deviation may be challenged by opposing parties and could affect admissibility in court.
- Donor responsibility. The hair donor is responsible for any mishaps during off-site collection or shipping, and for ensuring the nominated practitioner follows our supplied protocol.
- Retesting costs. We provide your GP with detailed collection guidelines, but any costs of retesting due to off-site errors are borne by the hair donor.
- Refunds. Once a kit has been dispatched or laboratory testing has commenced, no refunds will be issued.
