If you’re unable to visit our clinic for hair testing, we’ve got a seamless solution for you.
Our service involves dispatching a hair collection kit to a qualified medical professional you designate, ensuring the sample’s integrity and adherence to the legal chain of custody.
This method also confirms the identity of the individual being tested, strictly avoiding sending hair collection kits to residential addresses or uncertified recipients.
Our protocol is designed to prevent unauthorised sample collection, protecting individual rights and the legal standing of the test.
The chosen hair collector, ideally your General Practitioner (GP), should be someone with no personal connection to you, guaranteeing impartiality and professional conduct.
Although we provide the option for remote testing, we highly recommend visiting our clinic if possible.
In-person visits allow for immediate answers to any questions you might have during the collection process, questions your GP might not be equipped to handle.
It also eliminates the costs associated with the collection kit and GP consultation fees.
Furthermore, testing at our clinic is faster, bypassing the potential delays and errors that can occur with remote hair sample collection and shipping.
Although we equip your GP with detailed hair collection guidelines and protocols, it’s important to understand that any costs arising from the need to retest due to errors at offsite locations will be borne by the hair donor.

Starting Your Hair Collection Kit
Simple 4 Step Process:
- Nominate Your General Practitioner (GP): Ensure your GP has agreed to act as your hair sample collector. The kit includes a detailed step-by-step guide to assist your GP in properly collecting the sample, along with a checklist to confirm every step is completed. It is crucial that your GP thoroughly reviews the collection instructions before proceeding, as once the sample is sealed, it cannot be reopened. If any issues arise during collection, a new kit will be required at an additional fee.
- Schedule an Appointment: Once your GP has agreed to act as the collector, the kit will be dispatched to them upon payment of order. You will need to schedule an appointment with your GP for the hair collection. Please note that your GP may charge a separate consultation fee.
- Prepare for Your Visit: On the day of your appointment, bring a valid photo ID (e.g., Driver’s Licence or Passport). If necessary, bring reading glasses and a payment method. For minors, the legal guardian must provide their ID, along with documentation proving their authority to consent on behalf of the child, as well as the child’s ID, such as a birth certificate.
- Payment: Payment for the Collection Kit can be made via Direct Deposit (details provided at checkout). Full payment for drug, alcohol or steroid forensic testing is required once the hair sample has been returned (or prior), as testing will not begin until payment is received in full. Post-Collection Process:
Upon receiving all requisite items – the properly completed documents, hair sample, and payment – we proceed with forensic analysis.
Results are typically ready within 5-7 business days from receipt, barring any delays due to incomplete submissions.
It’s crucial that the hair donor is properly identified, all documents are duly signed, and the sample is correctly sealed to avoid any testing hold-ups.
Understanding Your Results:
You’ll receive the results via email, detailing the detected substances and their levels without further interpretation.
Our lab focuses solely on identifying these substances. For those requiring detailed analysis, we offer expert forensic interpretation services at an additional fee.
